These terms cover the 9jaRide Pro rider and driver apps, run by company legal name. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
Give true details and keep your phone and sign-in codes private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Riders
- The fare you see before booking is an estimate. The final fare is worked out from the trip actually driven and shown on your receipt.
- Pay your driver in cash or from your wallet, as you chose when booking. Promo codes follow their own rules.
- You can cancel before the trip starts. State any cancellation fee, or that there is none.
- Treat drivers and their cars with respect. Do not carry anything unlawful.
Drivers
- Drivers are independent. You must hold a valid licence, insurance and the documents we ask for, and we may inspect your vehicle.
- 9jaRide Pro keeps a service charge from each fare. State the service charge and how it is shown to drivers. Where a vehicle is provided by a business or an owner, the agreed share goes toward it.
- Drive safely and follow the law. Do not take a trip while impaired or tired.
- Frequently declining, ignoring or cancelling trips can reduce how many you are offered.
Safety
Use the SOS button in an emergency, and call 112 where you can. We may share trip and location details with the authorities when the law requires it.
Payments
Wallet top-ups are processed by our payment partner. State refund rules and how driver payouts are made.
Our responsibility
A lawyer should write this section: what we do and do not promise, limits on liability, insurance, and how disputes are settled under Nigerian law.
